First time I’ve doubted myself in a while. Haven’t really felt this way in a long time, but its a good reality check. This year, bulge bracket firms are barely hiring 4-5% for summer analyst positions, which end up going to people who write books their freshman year or run investment funds in Israel. Now, I could probably still pick up some leftovers and still get a finance job...
